Airplane Session with the Bagley's
I absolutely loved stepping outside my usual sessions for something completely different! Lesleigh & Nolan have been family friends for years, so when Lesleigh expressed interest in my model call for this shoot, I was beyond excited. Lately, I’ve been drawn to creating more intentional, cinematic, and storytelling-focused work... moody, emotional, and full of narrative.
There were two challenges during this shoot. One being the lighting. It started out very bright and direct sunlight (no shade for light diffusion). I embraced that! I loved getting to play more in direct sunlight. It gives such a warm filmy vibe and it instantly became my favorite.
The second challenge was the location’s gate was closed earlier than expected. Even though I’ve been there before past that time and Google lists a later closing, we made it work! We ended up shooting more along the side of the road (which is much less shady than it sounds) and got some amazing shots. As a photographer experimenting on different styles and locations, you just learn to pivot. [insert Friends scene of Ross exclaiming "PIVOT!"]
I’d love to do more sessions like this with couples and seniors, so if this speaks to you, don’t hesitate, reach out to me ASAP!
